A QUEER-FULLY SELECTED GUIDE TO BOOKBINDING
Welcome!
A Queer-Fully Selected Guide to Bookbinding is a resource created for NYC-based LGBTQIA+ creatives interested in learning more about the practice, history, and culture of hand book- and zine-making. A more detailed statement of intent and commitments underlying this guide are forthcoming; however, the resources in this guide have been gathered with priority given to queer book arts and cultures and queer practitioners of book arts. In understanding that queerness is itself a deeply diverse axis of identity, this guide not only focuses on queerness but understands that structures and systems of oppression are interlocking, inseparable, and often co-constituting. Therefore, this guide aspires to be a product of collective construction and community accountability.
